We will be holding an additional Open Day on Friday 12th December for prospective parents of pupils entering Reception in September 2015. Tours will be given at 9.15am and 1.30pm. Parents are welcome to come into school for a pre-tour coffee from 9.00am.
It is helpful to know numbers so please contact the school office to let them know if you plan to attend. However, you are also most welcome to turn up on the day.
Please note that applications for a primary school Reception placement needs to be made with the Admissions Team(Cambridgeshire County Council) by 15th January 2015. If you require further information please do telephone the School Office on 01223 293357This morning we welcomed representatives from the Royal British Legion to join us to collect a cheque presented by some of the children for a fantastic £897.50 raised from our sponsored silence on Armistice Day.
The children were sponsored to be silent from 11.00 am on 11/11/2014, ranging from 4 minutes for our youngest pupils to 11 minutes for our oldest pupils, including year 6 who were away at Grafham Water and held their sponsored silence around the camp fire. Thank you to everyone who took part in this event and to those who sponsored a child.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual switching on the Christmas lights ceremony at Marshall of Cambridge Thursday. The winner of the Art Competition was Elisabetta whose picture of the Christmas Day Football Match in WW1 was drawn brilliantly and was full of movement. The children sang beautifully two of the Christmas carols that they have been practising lately. Thank you to Marshall of Cambridge for all the delicious refreshments, the lucky dip and prizes. A great occasion to start the Christmas season!
The Christmas Fayre will be going ahead as planned on Friday 5th December from 3.30 to 5 pm and we have the usual stalls, including Santa’s Grotto. There are no pre-paid tickets for the Grotto this year - all tickets can be bought on the day at the Fayre. Please remember to bring in to the school office any donations for the bottle stall/tombola and also cakes for the cake stall. Many thanks.
