Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Tuesday afternoon our year 6 boys took part in the 'Small Schools Football Competition at Netherhall School. This was with 6 other schools from around the Cambridge area. Highly excited, Teversham got off to a poor start in terms of results losing to Sancton Wood Primary School 1-0! To the teams credit this did not down their belief and they went on to win the next game 3-0. The third game was our toughest by far! It was a one sided game where we defended/blocked/tackled/saved wave after wave of attack from the strongest team there. I can't tell you how well they did to get a 0-0 draw, that 'felt like a huge win' according to the players! We went on to win our final 2 games and to the teams delight, won the whole competition!
An outstanding effort by every single player involved!!
Congratulations boys, well done.
There will be an opening ceremony on Thursday 16th October at 3.30 pm. Sir Michael Marshall will be attending and there will be refreshments. All members of the community are invited.
Our new topic is 'Blast from the Past'. We will be learning about World War 1, when and how it started, the countries that were involved and the impact that it had on everyone's lives. During the half term we will be thinking about life as a solider living in the trenches, how women's roles changed during the war, and how animals were used to support the cause. Mr Dennis and Miss Godfrey launched the topic by putting all of the 'Privates' through their paces in a mock warm up, preparing for war. The children had fun acting out the roles by taking part in drills involving marching and physical exercise.
From Thursday 4th September, all children in Foundation Stage and Years 1 & 2 are entitled to a free school meals.
If your child would like a school dinner, please fill in the form that is sent home each week with the menu choices for the following week.
Anyone who is entitled to free school meals because they are on Child Tax Credits or any other benefits (excluding Working Tax Credit), should still apply to Free School Meal Services in the normal way. The school receives Pupil Premium for all children with a free school meal claim running and this enables us to give your child extra support in school.
If you are unsure whether you are entitled to claim, or require help in submitting your claim, please call into the school office and see Mrs Green or Mrs Davis.
Welcome to our brand new school website! We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The new website is easier to edit by all staff at the school, so keep checking back for new updates!
