We do operate a waiting list and places are offered on a first come, first served basis.
Demand for our pre-school is very high. We are registered with Ofsted and admit children from the ages of two years and 10 months to five years. We limit the number of places we can offer to two year olds due to staff ratios.
We serve the children and families of Teversham and the surrounding villages. However, we also welcome applications from further afield, particularly for the siblings of children who have attended our pre-school previously, or currently attend the school.
Fees and opening hours:
Teversham Pre-school operates during school term times. We open from 8.45am-3.15pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, and from 8:45am-12:15pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It is our aim to extend our hours in line with school opening across the week as demand grows. Currently the afternoon sessions are only available to our children over the age of 3. We also offer a Lunch Club until 1.15pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The cost per morning session is currently £15 for 3 year olds and £16.50 per morning for 2 year olds. Lunch Club is an additional cost of £5.50. The afternoon session in £10. Funding can be used to pay for this if you require. Many children are entitled to Early Years Education Funding allowing us to offer up to 570 hours free early education per eligible child each year. There are forms for you to complete in your registration packs.
Funding is available from the term after your child’s 3rd birthday, when they are entitled to 15 hours funding per week for 38 weeks per year. Some 2-year-olds are also eligible for 15 hours free education per week.
Please click on the link below to check your entitlement but you don’t have to do anything yet. We will provide you with all the information you need to access this funding in time for when your child joins the playgroup.
All the information you need to claim your free entitlement
If you are entitled to the 30 hours childcare for working parents, you can use your code to pay for any additional hours used at the setting e.g. for lunch club or afternoon sessions and we are also able to work with other providers to enable eligible parents to share this funding across two settings.
As a small setting we have to budget carefully. Please be aware that a half-term’s notice is required if parents/carers remove their child from the setting for any reason, otherwise the half-term’s fees will remain payable. Your child’s fees will be invoiced at the end of each month. In the event of any difficulties please see the office to arrange an alternative payment plan.
The school reserves the right to increase the fees.
