We do operate a waiting list and places are offered on a first come, first served basis.
We are registered with Ofsted to admit children from the ages of two to five years, and demand for our pre-school places is very high. The number of places we can offer to two year olds are limited due to staff ratios.
We serve the children and families of Teversham and the surrounding villages.
However, we also welcome applications from further afield, particularly for the siblings of children who have attended our pre-school previously, or currently attend the school.
Fees and opening hours:
Teversham Pre-school operates during school term times and is open from 8.45am until 12.45pm. During this time, we have a morning session and a lunch session. We hope to extend to an afternoon session in the future.
Our morning session hours are between 8.45am to 11.45am, Monday to Friday.
The cost per morning session is currently £12.50. From 21st April 2020 our fees will be increased to £15.00 per morning session for 3 year olds and £16.50 per morning for 2 year olds. Many children are entitled to Early Years Education Funding allowing us to offer up to 570 hours free early education per eligible child each year.
We also provide a lunch session that runs from 11.45am to 12.45pm, Monday to Friday.
The cost for the lunch session is £5 for 3 year olds and above, or £5.50 for 2 year olds. This charge is per session. Funding can be used to pay for this if you require.
Funding is available from the term after your child’s 3rd birthday, when they are entitled to 15 hours funding per week for 38 weeks per year. Some 2-year-olds are also eligible for 15 hours free education per week.
Please click on the link below to check your entitlement but you don’t have to do anything yet. We will provide you with all the information you need to access this funding in time for when your child joins the playgroup.
All the information you need to claim your free entitlement
We do not currently offer 30 hours childcare for working parents, however we are able to work with other providers to enable eligible parents to share this funding across two settings.
As a small setting we have to budget carefully. Please be aware that a half-term’s notice is required if parents/carers remove their child from playgroup for any reason, otherwise the half-term’s fees will remain payable.
The school reserves the right to increase the fees.
Your child’s fees will be invoiced at the end of each month. In the event of any difficulties please see the office to arrange an alternative payment plan.
