Spring Term Plan for Sparrow Class
This term, we will learn about 'People Who Help Us'. We will also complete mini topics looking at the changing seasons and Chinese New Year.
Phonics Phase 3 - Spring Term
We have started Phase 3 of 'Letters and Sounds'. The children have now learned the sounds and actions for the following:
j, v, w, x, qu, y, z, zz, sh, ch, th, ng, ai, ee, igh, oa, oo, ar, or, ur, ow, oi, ear, air, ure and er
They have also practised reading the tricky words: we, me, be, was, my, her, they, are you, all and she.
The children should also be able to write the tricky words: I, to, go, no and the.
Please use the phonics cards, which are put in your child's phonics pack at the end of each week, to practice the recognition of these sounds at home.
