• Year 5 Ely Cathedral visit.

  Year 5 undertook a range of activities at Ely Cathedral this week to learn about World War 1.

  

• TA Vacancy up to 25 hours

• Stunning Start

  Our children were inspired by our stunning start event. They had to visit an imaginary plane crash site and gather clues from a back pack to find out what they think had happened on our school field. They were inspired by being 'Detectives'!

  

• Eagle and Peregrine 3 Church Visit 2018

  Eagle and Peregrine visited 3 different churches on Wednesday 18^th July as part of their RE syllabus: Eden Baptist Church, Great St Mary’s and King’s Chapel. They were introduced to each setting by a guide and then explored the different churches taking notes and sketching things of interest. Eden Baptist Church is a modern church – built 25 years ago. The children loved looking at the open baptistery! Great St Mary’s is the university church where Stephen Hawking’s funeral was held. The children participated in 3 different activities here including a stained glass hunt using binoculars and an artefact hunt. The final church we visited was King’s College Chapel, part of King’s College. All the children were amazed at the space and grandeur of the chapel and enjoyed exploring and looking at the ‘Adoration of the Magi’ by Rubens worth approximately £60 million!

• KS2 Lion King Show Dress Rehearsal

  Today our KS2 children performed to Teversham Preschool, OAP's from Teversham and our younger pupils. We are looking forward to the production this week. Remember if you would like a spare ticket make a request at the office.

• Whipsnade Zoo Launchpad winners.

  On Wednesday this week our KS2 Launchpad winners spent the day at Whipsnade Zoo. We were proud of how they behaved and their responses and questions in the activity sessions.

  

• Circus Skills Workshops

  On Monday and Tuesday this week our children had the opportunity to take part in some Circus Skills sessions. We learnt how to juggle and use various equipment.

  

• Stibbington

  On Monday and Tuesday this week KS1 and KS2 went to visit Stibbington. KS2 learnt about climate, wind turbines, the rain cycle and much more! KS1 learnt about map reading, compass points and went on a bear hunt! The days were enjoyed by everyone.
