Application for leave of absence

APPLICATION FOR LEAVE OF ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL DURING TERM TIME

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY

As a parent or carer you are strongly urged to avoid leave of absence from school during term time.

Amendments have been made to the 2006 regulations in the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2013. Attendance at school is expected to be 100% and Principals/Head Teachers may not grant any leave during term-time unless there are exceptional or unavoidable reasons for absence.

Should an absence be absolutely unavoidable then you should complete the Leave of Absence Request Form available below, or from the school office. If your request is refused, the absence will be recorded as unauthorised. This will appear both in the school register and in your child’s report.
