Remembrance Day 2020

Kite class had a brilliant day learning all about the different roles that men and women had during WW1 and WW2. Here we are researching different people that actually fought in the war. One of the people we researched was Molly Rose Marshall, daughter of the founder of Marshalls! We had lots of fun learning about some of individuals we remember and were very thoughtful in our diary entries about a day in their life.

P.E. - Gymnastics - 10.11.2020

Today, Kite class started their Gymnastics unit. Today we practiced travelling in low, middling and high positions. We discussed what it would be like to be a gymnast and to how to finesse our movements. They performed their travels with transitions to each other at the end.

R.E. Week October 2020

In Kite class we have been thinking about how following God can bring freedom and justice. We have looked at how this extends into the modern world with the work of Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. Here we are doing our research.

Taking part in assembly - signing and lip syncing instead of singing!

Enjoying our parachute games!

What makes a good friend?

In Kite class, we have been discussing what makes a good friend and how to be our best selves on the playground. Here is what we came up with!

Here We Are - Kite Class!

As we came back to school, each class had a project on the book 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers.

Kite class were taken with book and we decided to give people a 'quick tour' of life on Earth, like Oliver Jeffers was doing for his son. In the image above, you can see their landscapes of life Earth, posters of how to preserve life on Earth, descriptions of Earths landscapes and a letter to an alien (if they were to come to Earth!) explaining everything they would need to know to live here successfully. Each child also designed a star for the display. When we did this, we spoke about how we were all different, but we were also all the same. We loved spending time on this project.
